The Peripatetic knows too well
that life is a journey. Inquisitive and
adventurous, she wants to see, feel, and
experience all the wonders of the world
firsthand. She would never be satisfied with
merely seeing it on television or in
magazines. This is a woman who leads an
active lifestyle, keyword leads. She is not
a follower by any measure of the word. This
is a woman who would spontaneously fly off
alone to Milan for holiday and not tell a
soul. She doesn’t fantasize about what her
life could be; she lives it. Her world is
vibrant, her spirit audacious. The
Peripatetic woman is that gregarious,
world-wise cosmopolitan whose soul is at
rest only when her life is in movement.

DESCRIPTION
A spacious and
durable weekender tote, the Peripatetic is
designed for the traveler, with exterior
pockets that keep passports, tickets, and
personal technology easily accessible. Great
as a carry-on and great for weekend
getaways. The weekender tote comes with a
detachable and adjustable shoulder strap,
making it a great carry-on for the
sojourning jetsetter kind of woman. Seven
metal purse feet on the bottom of the bag
allows it to stand on its own. Classy
and classic, the Peripatetic will be a
versatile and functional addition to any
woman’s accessories collection.

DESIGNER'S
INSPIRATION
The Peripatetic is a reimagination
of the standard totebag, the kind that we
thrash about and use as gym bags, as
university book bags, as carry-on travel
bags, and more. The normal totebag, however,
is boring, unstylish. The Taryn Zhang
weekender tote infuses a little class and
elegance to the tote. I first drew a
thumbnail sketch of the Peripatetic in my
sketchpad and thought nothing of it. One
time my husband James was going through the
sketchpad and stopped on this thumbnail
sketch. He pointed at it and told me to make
a prototype of this bag, just to see how it
would come out. I wasn't much impressed by
my own thumbnail sketch, but made the bag
anyway to appease him. The final result, the
Peripatetic weekender, turned out to be one
of our favorite bags in the collection.
