and also last to care about how
stylish she looks. She’d probably call
that superficial and vain. But the
reality is that looks count, and the
Workaholic tote will do its part to

DESIGNER'S INSPIRATION
The lines on
the face of the Workaholic are
inspired by the silhouette of a
lotus, the symbolism of which is
used in this design as a metaphor to
describe the ambitious,
feminist path of the modern day
working woman. I thought
specifically of the no-nonsense
career woman when designing this
business tote.
I know women who are so driven, so
focused that they have become a bit
of a work horse. In my mind, I
imagined a close girlfriend who
wears plain black or gray to
everything, who checks her
Blackberry a hundred times more than
she checks how she looks in a
mirror, and who is constantly in
plain hair and makeup. I, her close
girlfriend, see how beautiful and
physically attractive she is, and it
frustrates me to no end that she
doesn't see it herself.
What if I could create a work tote
for her? The Workaholic would be it.
I would present it to her by
pitching all the functional
qualities of the bag, but secretly
design it with elegant detailing put
there specially to spruce up her
style.
