The Executive is the woman in
charge, the head of state, the one with
final authority. Everybody goes to her for
direction. And no wonder! She is not a woman
who lives on cruise control or auto-pilot,
no. She is always alert, always innovative.
She is a planner, a decision-maker, a
trouble shooter. She can overcome any
obstacle. When our going gets tough, we turn
to the Executive woman to get us over the
impasse.
DESCRIPTION
Like the
Executive woman, this satchel brief stands
out. Fits standard size manila file folders
and work materials, making it great for the
office. Sharp, sleek design is corporate
appropriate, but the striking aesthetic
maintains a sense of individuality.
The satchel brief can be carried
with the two small handles or with the
detachable shoulder strap. Secured by both
zipper top and magnetic snap closure flap;
back zip pocket perfect for phone, wallet,
and keys.
This bag will compliment most
corporate conservative wear without
compromising style or personality.
DESIGNER'S
INSPIRATION
I have always admired the clean
lines of neoclassical architecture that is
prominent throughout the New England region.
The design of the Executive satchel brief
was inspired by the Jeffersonian
architecture of American civic buildings.
The satchel is symmetrical, and the pleats
on the facade of the bag are reminiscent of
both columns and the front staircases of so
many courthouse or city hall buildings I've
walked on. Finally, the handles mimic the
dome roofing often characteristic of such
architecture.
I am always charmed by strong, successful
female leaders, politicians, and even CEOs.
With certain female leaders in America and
their biographies as inspiration, I designed
a satchel brief that could be as sharp,
bold, and stand-out as they are. I felt this design best
represented an executive woman, the kind of
woman who could be a leader of the free
world.
